What happens when you are a knitter and you do not go to Maryland Sheep & Wool?

Well, you whine a bit, you wish you could go, you check the blogs of people who did go everyday hoping to live vicariously through them.

And then you find some really great people to do a yarn store crawl with!!!!! I was both a good blogger and a bad blogger that day. I started off good and once we walked into that first shop I was bad. Sooooo I only have two pictures from the day. Sorry! But there shall be many pictures of the swag I came back with later! Keep an eye out on Yarn Pr0n days and such!!!

Dani on the left driving and Mary on the right. We are headed across the border!

Haha! I see you!

Dani, Mary, and I got in the car nice and early, headed across the border to Fuzzy Mabel’s yarn shop in Good ‘ole Lancaster, SC. I used to live there so it’s a little weird going there when I do get a chance. But what a lovely shop!! They have a great selection and a very nice open shop to walk around in! I will definitely be making a trip back there!!

Next we headed back up to Pineville to grab some grub at the yummy Mexican restaurant around the corner from my house!

After stuffing our faces we ended up at Charlotte Yarn. I have no idea how that happens ever!! But we hung out and saw Jane Prater!! YAY! We stayed long enough to have a beer with her and then we called it a day! It was quite fantastic and I hope we get to do it again sometime!

Ok! And on to what today is all about!!! Hand spun Monday!!!! The first one I gave you a sneak peek at a few days ago. It is the Romney fiber that Heather has a metric ton of and graciously let us dye at her house!!

This is about 1/2 a lb. of Falkland top that Cristi was wonderful to share with me! I wasn’t planning on showing it yet, but It is the first project that I have spun that I am sooooo proud of!! There is nothing over-spun and it is just gorgeous!!!!

There really are no other words! I love it!

Love & Stitches,
